IMS Health launch brochure

The brief

To design and implement a reward scheme for 100 independent pharmacy retailers across the UK.

The challenge

IMS Health were concerned about how much access the pharmacies would have to the internet, so requested that the whole scheme be paper-based.

The solution

Active designed and printed an A4, 4pp launch brochure which contained details regarding the scheme, how points could be earned, how to claim and a complete list of all the rewards available on the scheme. Monthly statements were submitted to participants on the scheme by post and claim forms were created so prizes could be claimed as and when required.

The execution

A launch pack was assembled and mailed to each participant on the scheme. This included the launch brochure, welcome letter from the CEO at IMS, example statements, claim forms and some teaser gifts. Active received sales data from IMS each month which was converted into points and then displayed on the individual statements, which were then mailed out each month. Active handled all claims for prizes throughout the duration of the scheme and ran a telephone hotline enquiry service.

The success

The initial scheme was due to run for 12 months; however, the programme was received so well by the independent pharmacies that it actually ran for just over six years.
