Case study: KP
The brief
To design a post-conference team building event that mirrored the keynote message of 'ain't no mountain high enough'.
The challenge
- To produce an outdoor team building exercise that would involve all 110 delegates throughout its duration.
- To ensure the exercise followed on from the conference theme.
- To make the exercise fun for all participants but to guarantee delivering team bonding and leadership skills.
The solution
Active created a bespoke 'It's A Knockout' tournament, which featured a number of interactive games. This ensured that all 110 delegates were involved throughout the whole event. Compères provided live commentary over the PA systems to keep the whole event vibrant and fun. The exercises were designed to create team bonding and team leaders had to be nominated for each game.
The execution
The 'It's A Knockout' arena (including games and props, PA system, marquee, posters and arena bunting), was all assembled during the conference ensuring that all participants were unaware of what was in store for them. To tie in with the 'ain't no mountain high enough' theme, a giant inflatable mountain was erected in the grounds. Teams were then tasked to carry jigsaw pieces across the obstacle and solve the puzzle to win points.
The success
The whole event was a roaring success and matched all the client's criteria. The feedback from the participants was extremely positive and it was viewed as one of the best events they'd had in a very long time.
