Festivals are always popular to use for prizes in a promotion or incentive. With infamous Glastonbury Festival off the market due to its traditional 'fallow year', we look ahead to what other music festivals are set to hit UK parks this summer. From big names like Ed Sheeran and Stormzy, to rock legends Ozzy Osbourne and Marilyn Manson, it promises to be full of incredible live music, glitter and muddy wellies!

Musical highlights: The Chainsmokers, Fatboy Slim, and Martin Garrix.

Where: Warrington

When: 23rd-26th August 2018


Creamfields has been the UK's biggest and best summer dance festival for 21 years. It has long been a place to showcase superstar artists and DJ's from across the world of trance, house and grime. The festival takes place in Daresbury in Cheshire, which is less than 30 miles from Liverpool and the spiritual home of the Cream clubbing brand. To date, Creamfields has visited 18 countries across the globe.

Musical highlights: London Grammar, Plan B and M.I.A.

Where: Dorset

When: 2nd-5th August 2018


This year sees a circus theme hit Lulworth Castle. It's this unique sense of individuality and freedom that sets this festival apart from the others. They pride themselves on creating a world of discovery and adventure that's inclusive of every walk of life. It's a pretty bonkers place, but if you can look past all the madness it really boils down to great music combined with lots of fun and laughter.

Where: Isle of Wight

When: 21st-24th June 2018


Slightly more mainstream than those already listed, the Isle of Wight Festival combines pop culture with old time classic bands as it celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. It's also set to get a lot of attention as Glasonbury-goers are already queuing up for tickets for their festival fix. As many as 65,000 music fans will participate in the weekend to start the summer in style.

Where: Derby

When: 8th-10th June


If rock music is more your style then Download is the one for you. With absolute legends taking to the stage over the course of 3 days, it's the best UK festival to catch the biggest names of this genre. It's relatively new to the game with only 15 years' experience behind it, but it's definitely made up for it. There's five stages to choose from including the Main stage, Zippo enclosure stage, the Avalanche stage, the Dogtooth stage and the ever-brilliant Side Splitter stage.

Where: London

When: 6th-8th July


One of London's biggest music highlights sees the hottest names in urban music take to the stage over three days. Since starting in 2005, it's played host to some of the world's biggest names like Kanye West, Drake and Kendrick Lamar. This year, the team at Live Nation are keeping some of their guests' under wraps for the time being, but with acts like Cardi B, French Montana and Migos, it's hard to see how they can top it!

Scone Palace will host BBC's Biggest Weekend in Scotland



Musical highlights: Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Sam Smith.

Where: Belfast, Perth, Swansea, and Coventry

When: 25th-28th May


Not content with just one amazing weekend full of incredible live music, the BBC have spread the fun all the way across the UK with various acts playing at different locations. Kicking off in Belfast and Perth on the Friday and finishing in Coventry on the Monday, with a whole load of amazing acts in between. The line-up just keeps on growing, with an impressive 27 acts recently added. Many of the days may already be sold out, but it's definitely one to watch on the telly!

Musical highlights: The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and Liam Gallagher.

Where: Glasgow

When: 29th-30th June, 1st, 6th and 8th July


With TRNSMT now becoming a permanent fixture in the Scottish Summer, this year is set to be bigger and better than ever. It's more of a focus on rock and indie music as opposed to mainstream artists. The new two-weekend festival promises to deliver even more exciting transmissions to ensure it stays as the event of the summer in Scotland.

When: 13th-14th July


A favourite with Londoners, Lovebox was first created back in 2002 as the brainchild of Groove Armada. Starting with just a box of records and post-it notes shaped like hearts, it soon grew into the two-day festival we all know and love. Lovebox is moving to Gunnersbury Park for 2018 and welcoming huge names like Childish Gambino and Diplo to the mix.


Reading and Leeds

Musical highlights: Kings of Leon, Kendrick Lamar and Wolf Alice.

Where: Reading and Leeds

When: 24th-26th August


If it's huge names and a mix of different music you're looking for, then Reading and Leeds is the one for you. With identical line-ups swapping over on each day, it's set to be the biggest one yet with the absence of Glasto. Festival-goers were initially disappointed with the line up as it featured more mainstream acts, but R&L soon listened and have added loads more names to the list, which appears to have kept everyone happy!

When: 8th-12th August


Hidden in the corner of the south-west coast, Boardmasters promises another year of sunshine, surfing and skateboarding - oh, and a little bit of music here and there. Inspired by the freedom and creativity of surfing, Boardmasters has grown from niche, surf-shack shows into a five-day extravaganza. Expect late night beach parties, cocktails and lots of adventure.
