Spotlight on Thailand as an incentive travel destination

22nd June 2015

Its superb beaches, great food, beautiful scenery and year round sunshine makes Thailand the ideal 'get away from it all' location. Whether your guests want to sightsee, shop or just relax, the beauty of Thailand and hospitality of the people will make this an unforgettable experience. We put the spotlight on Thailand to see what it has to offer as an incentive travel destination.

Floating market, Bangkok, Thailand

Where to go

Bangkok is a city of contrasts, blending old and new to incredible effect; from spectacular ancient temples to modern, bustling shops.

Whether it's world class diving in the Andaman Sea, golf at world-standard championship courses or exciting eco-adventures in tropical forests, Phuket is a place to extend your guests horizons.

Tuk Tuk, Bangkok, Thailand

What to do in Bangkok

Take a city tour of Bangkok and visit China Town's largest and liveliest market where you can see neighbouring stalls selling fruit, cakes, incense and ritual burning paper for offering at the temple. Travel by boat along the Chao Phaya River to see the 'Venice of the East' and round the tour off with a police escorted Tuk Tuk ride.

Or marvel at the beauty and splendour of The Grand Palace with a guided tour. Elegantly situated along the banks of the Chao Phraya River and dominating the south-western end are the fluted spires and golden domes of this stunning building.

Eating out in Bangkok

Enjoy dinner at the Blue Elephant. The regal Blue Elephant sits in a beautifully renovated building that once was a leading department store and served as the Japanese Military Headquarters during WWII. The interior’s beautiful décor of teak wood and works of art exude a warm charm along with elegant table settings while Thai cultural dancers in traditional dress entertain the guests.

For a different view, how about dinner at Vertigo? Some 61 floors above the streets of Bangkok, this open-air rooftop lounge grants views that simply take your breath away. Stylish, sophisticated and reaching for the clouds, there is no better place for a group dinner.

Phuket, Thailand

What to do in Phuket

Shopping at the Patong Night Market can keep the bargain hunter busy for hours! Under the brightly lit stalls which line the streets everything is available, from famous team football shirts to wooden toys.

Head for the open waves and explore two of Asia's most beautiful islands with a tour to the Phi Phi Islands. Relax on one of the picture postcard beaches, enjoy the crystal clear waters or snorkel on the shallow reefs.

Take a Siam safari adventure and explore Phuket by four wheel drive. Discover hidden beaches, trek jungle trails on elephants and meet the locals in the traditional Thai villages. Get up close to some jungle animals from the local monkeys trained to pick coconuts, to the tame water buffalo.

Patong, Phuket, Thailand

Nightlife in Phuket

Soak up the atmosphere in one of the many bars and restaurants that line the beachfront. Just 15 years ago there was nothing more than a small fishing village and extensive coconut plantations, but today it is the most built up of areas and Patong is famed for its night life.
