A web based scheme, managed by Active and aimed at 300 independent retailer opticians. Every year, each retailer was classified as a 'gold', 'silver' or 'bronze' outlet and set an annual revenue target which was based on a mix of the previous year's performance and account potential.
For all participants, achieving 100% of target earned them a tier 1 prize, 110% a tier 2 prize and 120% a tier 3 prize, with the value of the rewards in each tier varying for gold, silver, and bronze retailers.
The website displayed the retailer's classification (gold, silver or bronze), their target and the list of prizes they were eligible for if they qualified.
Sales figures were posted to the site on a monthly basis to show performance against target which was also supported by a communication campaign to ensure continued engagement.
Once final figures were posted, winners could claim a tier 1, 2 or 3 prize through the website, depending on their performance against target.
