PlayStation wanted to take advantage of the wave of summer ‘happiness’ in Britain to promote the game SingStar. The insight was to create real world ‘SingStar’ experiences in the biggest British Music Festivals during the summer including Glastonbury festival. Users were encouraged to come and play a game of SingStar. Singing along to a summer tune they were actually demoing the game as they played. When they had finished they were scored and were given the chance to spin a wheel for prizes which include festival tickets, Hunter wellington boots, iPod speakers and drinks coolers along with other festival related prizes. The client designed the promotional website and Active sourced and fulfilled all the experiences and prizes.
